As my master bedroom is coming along I’m starting to add a few personal touches to it. Like with my vanity.
(Notice I found a bench at Pier One!)

I found this bird at the Goodwill for 50 cents but they were having a half off sale so I got it for a quarter.
Go figure I whipped out the spray paint and voila!
Also I added my favorite necklaces on my bulletin board. (See 1st photo)
Then my favorite, a flower that Sloan made for me in art class where I like to put my earrings and necklaces.

Using what you have around your house, flowers from the grocery store or your yard and things your kids make for you is the best way I think to make your house seem more like a home!

Love the bird. What kind of spray paint did you use?
I have a thing for birds, love the fake ones but the real ones freak me out! I used Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Bright White Satin.
I keep admiring that luscious color on your bedroom walls. It looks so serene. Love all the white accents…and the bird. Although, I really love the real thing, as well.

Thanks Liz, the color of the walls are Rhine River by Benjamin Moore, I was skeptical when I first painted it but now I love it, you’re right it has a serene feeling doesn’t it!
I’m so jealous of your make-up area. I love it.
Come for the weekend and use it! I miss you!! (;
