Chevron Table

I thought I’d show off a little chevron table I completed a few weeks ago. You know in honor of Target launching their Missoni line today.  Ok, so I’m not going to lie…I totally have it on my Teux Deux list to go to Target today to check the line out!  (I’m like the equivalent of a 11 year old getting to see Justin Bieber in concert.) Yea, I turned lame a long time ago people!

Anyways, I’ve had the table for awhile.  It started out as one of those small boring oak tables you can buy for like $30.00 or something at Walmart.  I painted it white and put it in my old kitchen.

(See the table waaaaayyy in the back!)

(Ok no more teasing, here’s the before.)

I suppose a good blogger would show you photos of how I did this project but here’s the thing, I’m not really into the whole showing off my DIY skills step by step.  Love it when other’s do it but it’s just not my thing & I’ll explain further in a future post.  So imagine me creating a chevron template and drawing it on the table and then taping it off.  (Yea…my husband thinks I’m nuts, but for me tasks like this are sorta my escape.)  I used left over Benjamin Moore paint from when our house was painted and poly’d over it once I let it dried a few days.

Here’s the after…

I dig it, it’s cool right?

Here’s the view so you can see the top a bit better.  In case you’ve been living under a rock the Love Print is from Made by Girl, it’s going in my daughter Sloan’s room but for now it’s being used as a prop for some of my furniture shoots.  The silver owl is from one of my b/f/f’s Kim and I’m thinking even in 10 years I’m still going to love all things owls.  I won’t even tell you how many of them I have!

Like before and after photos of furniture?  Make sure you look at my furniture link above.  It’s still a work in progress but you can get the jest of it.

I plan on posting some pics on FB from my Target trip today so head on over to Facebook and become a fan of House to your Home’s page or if that’s too hard click on the FB icon to the right!
