As most of you know there’s been lots of work going on in our backyard this year and I think I’ve created more work for us Drew.
We bought a lot of patio furniture from World Market a few years ago and truth be told it’s just not holding up like we’d hoped but honestly I have so many other projects on the list buying all new outdoor furniture is just not where I want our budget to go right now.
So I thought I’d just paint one of the pieces of furniture, you know just to see how it turned out.
Here’s the before…
Ahhhhh look at the flowers on the sofa table!!! Sweet memories of a beautiful early summer, which quickly turned into the summer of absolutely no rain. I managed to kill 2 of the 3 plants! I don’t think at this point I’m going to replace them and maybe I’ll just wait and put some mums in them.
Anyways, I painted our sofa table to match our new coffee table and here’s the after…
In person the painted table looks so much better then the wood does now after a few years of sun damage. Unfortunately the oil I bought to help keep the wood looking good just didn’t do it’s job.
I don’t think we’ll paint the rest of the furniture this summer but after seeing how nice the sofa table turned out I see a lot of painting in our future next summer!
