It seems like every year when my daughter goes back to school I’m bummed because that means it’s the end of summer. We usually camp (glamp) a lot and travel to Lake Michigan and spend lots of time with family. This year was different because I’ve been on a travel and semi bed restriction due to my pregnancy (throw in 2 a day volleyball practices) so I have to admit I’m a little glad summer is coming to an end, especially since it was too hot in Indianapolis to really enjoy our summer.
Lately though it’s been absolutely beautiful outside and I’ve been spending lots of time on our patio soaking in every bit of the weather. (Writing my post on the patio as I speak) Of course my mind doesn’t let me truly relax and I end up looking at all the flowers that have become leggy and just plain ugly and I am excited to start planting mums and excited to start bringing some fall greenery inside the house.
I tend not to like floral arrangements and am drawn to more of a natural thrown together look. Here are some of my favorites…
(Branch Centerpiece – Sarah Winward)
(Queen Annes Lace – Emily Henderson)
(Natural Greenery – Amber Interiors)
My favorite arrangement I’ve seen recently is from Jenny of Little Green Notebook. I love the black sunflowers and figs!
We’re getting our dining room and the baby’s room painted tomorrow so the house is a crazy mess but I think I may just throw together a “greenery arrangement” for my bedroom or the kitchen to pretty up at least one room!!
