I don’t have time this week to show off the entire room but I thought I’d give you a sneak peek with a little pillow talk.

No surprise lots of pillows going on here!

I usually don’t keep the pillows the couch comes with but these pillows are super comfy and great for laying on and folding in half on a Sunday afternoon.  The rest of the pillows from left to right Target, Target, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn, Target, Target! (:  All the pillows actually are pretty old and I don’t think any of the stores carry them anymore. Maybe that means it’s time to update them?

I bought the chair awhile back and it sat in my garage until I figured out what I wanted to do with it.  Finally I decided to have a little fun with it.

Here is the before…

I fell in love with the frame, the cushion…not so much!

A little spray paint (maybe a lot) some extra batting to fluff it up, some new fabric and a trip to have this baby upholstered (yea it’s one thing I don’t even attempt if I plan on selling it) and here’s the final result!

This little girl (again it’s a she) is going to be at my new booth space this week if you want to visit.  I’m sure she’d love a new home!!

Apparently they’ve both been reading my blog for inspiration!

Ok probably not but I can pretend they did right?

I move into my booth space this week so I have so much to do!  I’ll make sure to get lots of photos so I can share the process with you.

I’m also hoping to sneak away with my family for a bit today and head downtown (Indy) and check out the Super Bowl Village.  I’m not the biggest football fan in the world but I sorta would feel like a grinch if I didn’t go and see what it’s all about.

I finally decided to give it ago and I hate to admit it but so far I am loving this book!

My daughter is letting me borrow her books and lets say she’s a little crazy when it comes to them.  I am a corner page bender when I save my place, Sloan…not so much.  So I decided to whip up an easy bookmark to mark my place and give to her as a little thank you for letting me borrow her books!

In other news…

I’m carrying a line of fabrics and I have LOTS of samples to chose from, if you’re interested!  I’ll blog more about it next week!

Anyways because I spend so much time in my room I tend to redecorate my room or overanalyze things in my mind.  (I’m not the only one right?)

This is what I see when I’m laying in my bed.

The vanity bench has always bothered me, just too matchy with the vanity skirt.  So at like 11:30 p.m. on a night Drew was out of town I decided to paint the top of the bench with a little fabric paint and a stencil I had laying around.

Here’s how it turned out…

I like how it breaks up all the beige.  So remember don’t be afraid to do something out of the box, if it doesn’t turn out you can always fix it right?!  Don’t over think, just do!

I found this table at an estate sale this summer.  I bought it because I loved the lines.

Obviously the table has seen better days!

You have to admit that I’m right though don’t you love the lines of the piece?

This was really an easy and quick makeover, I simply sanded (lightly) the piece and then applied a coat of Kilz primer and then painted it with 2 coats of glossy latex paint.

Red paint!!  I love how it turned out!  If you’re afraid to paint your walls a bright color then paint a small piece of furniture!

The piece is going in my booth on February 1st!  If you live in Indy you should come and visit her!!

The area I’ll be in is a home decor area so the items aren’t necessarily antiques but there is some great items in this area!  I’ll be selling furniture and other home decor items that I have repurposed and some furniture that is not and I will offer to sell it as is or have it redone to a client’s specifications.

Once the booth is set up I will for sure post photos!  Of course if you ever see anything you like I can ship it to you too!

Today I wanted to show you what the booth looks like right now with the other vendor’s items.

Let’s just say…this isn’t my particular style.  I can’t wait to show the before and after photos!!

On the home front I’m not doing very much, just a little organizing because January always seems to bring out the OCD in me.  My husband and I did a purge in our closet this month and sent about 3 bags to the Goodwill.  Our closet is pretty big but it just has the typical standard shelves in it.  My dream closet will look something like this…

Unfortunately the closet makeover is way on the bottom of the list to do and in the meantime I needed to find a way to store the “few” purses that I have.

I store my small clutches in small cloth bins but decided to purchase some silver shower hooks for my larger purses so they could be hung and I could readily see them.

I love that I’m able to see all my purses and not have to dig through a basket anymore.  I change my purse a lot and a tip for doing that is I actually have a small Marc Jacobs bags that I carry everything in and put the bag inside the purse, makes for a quick swap!

It’s not the prettiest I know but sometimes it’s making do for the time being and this will work for now!  Especially since 2 sets of shower hooks cost less then $3.00!

Honestly I’ve never liked our front door, really I still don’t but because I don’t like it, it makes it easier to paint.  (Does that make sense?)  I thought painting the front door the same color as the coat closet would look good but after awhile I just felt it looked blah…

So what color did I paint my door?  Black!!!  I love black doors and trim, I’d paint all the doors and trim in the entire house if I had a little bit of get up and go so for now just the front door will be black.

I also decided to add a few winter elements to the small space, some dried grass from the yard and some antlers.

The result…

I really like how it turned out, well at least for now!!
